Appointment of Loay Hawash as General Manager of Palestine Deposit Insurance Corporation

Today, Mr. Loay Hawash assumed his duties as the General Manager of Palestine Deposit Insurance Corporation, succeeding Mr. Zaher Hamouz.
Hawash is one of the leading banking professionals with extensive and distinguished professional experience. Throughout his career, Hawash has held numerous managerial and leadership positions in both banking and financial sector and other vital institutions, accumulating experiences and qualifications spanning over 25 years. He has actively and distinctly contributed to achieving the visions and goals of those institutions.
Hawash holds Master’s degree in International Studies from Birzeit University and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the same university. He also holds several specialized certificates and has local and international participations.
Following his appointment as the new General Manager of Palestine Deposit Insurance Corporation, Hawash expressed his gratitude, emphasizing his commitment to achieving accomplishments and working on developing the corporation's operations matched with its vision, mission, and objectives. He aims to elevate the level of efficiency and professionalism regarding the deposit insurance system in Palestine.
It is worth noting that Palestine Deposit Insurance Corporation was established under the provisions of Law No. (7) of 2013, aiming to protect depositors' rights, enhance their confidence in the Palestinian banking system, raise awareness and banking culture, especially regarding the deposit insurance system.
